A ROLE in ‘the greatest sporting show on earth’ is on offer for 15 school or college leavers.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is looking for people who have completed or just about to complete their A2s or equivalent.
Anyone chosen to join the organisation as part of its Get Ahead programme will complete two two-month placements in various departments at LOCOG.
They will then take up a permanent role in the department which best matches their skills.
LOCOG chairman Seb Coe said: "The Get Ahead programme is a fantastic opportunity for people to get involved in the greatest sporting show on earth.
“We want people to be inspired by and get involved with the London 2012 Games and this is a great way for them to do this.
“And we will undoubtedly benefit from having these dynamic and talented people join us.
“I look forward to welcoming the next 15 school or college leavers in September.”
Candidates should go to the Get Ahead School Leavers' Programme section to find out more about the scheme and the application process and read about the experiences of some of the people already on the team.
Applications will be accepted until April 11.
