IDEAS for the redevelopment of a gateway site are out for public comment.
Bexleyheath's Splashworld swimming centre is due to close next summer when the new pool on the opposite side of Crook Log opens.
Then, the former pool site will be available for redevelopment.
The site is next to the historic Crook Log pub and a gateway into Bexleyheath's town centre.
The council has drawn up draft suggestions of what it would like to see replace the old swimming pool building.
The planning brief, when it is confirmed, will become a guide to would-be developers on what kind of redevelopment plans would be acceptable.
So far, suggestions include housing, community facilities, healthcare places of worship as well as employment uses.
The draft planning brief insists design will be a high priority for such a prominent site.
Copies of the draft can be seen in Bexleyheath and Welling libraries.
Alternatively, you can get a copy by calling 020 8303 7777 ext 4790, or from the planning and regeneration department at Wyncham House, 207 Longlands Road, Sidcup, DA15 7JH.
Written comments on the draft should be sent to the same address by December 19.
