A PRIEST more used to blessing babies had to approve something rather different on Sunday an ambulance.
The Rev Martyn Thorne blessed the new emergency vehicle, bought by Northfleet St John Ambulance after it raised nearly £50,000.
Divisional Superintendent Edna Worrell said: "We now have the most state-of-the-art model in Kent."
The old vehicle has been sent to Uganda and will become the first serving ambulance in the African country.
