A GRAFFITI artist whose work includes backdrops for a Beyonce concert will work with youngsters on outdoor murals.
The artist, known by his tag name, Astek, is helping the 14 to 19-year-olds transform three walls on the Flamsteed Estate, Blackwall Lane, Greenwich, this week.
One of the pieces will chart the history of Greenwich while another will focus on young people.
The project has been funded with a grant from the Neighbourhood Support Fund.
Astek has worked on backdrops for Beyonce's performance at this year's Princes Trust Concert as well as scenery for the pop band Travis's video for their song Turn.
He said: "Art has given me a job and also, very importantly something I can be involved in.
"Hopefully, the youngsters will use this experience in a serious capacity later on in their lives."
