A BUS driver has won a dream holiday and turned it into the honeymoon he and his wife never had.
Gary Webb, 34, of Cobham Terrace, Greenhithe, appeared on ITV quiz show Bognor or Bust and won two weeks in India worth £8,000 and £1,000 spending money.
The father-of-three beat 1,000 people in the auditions and on the show he teamed up with comedians Al Murray and John Fothergill to answer questions from host Angus Deayton.
Mr Webb said: "Nikki and I were married last year but we couldn't afford the honeymoon, so this is it.
"We're spending a week touring India and then relaxing in Goa. It will be worth the wait."
Mr Webb applied for the show, produced by 4DTV, two months ago but only discovered he had been successful a week before the show aired.
He said: "I haven't come back down to earth yet and I haven't really slept since. I keep replaying the moment Angus said: And the winner is Gary'."
Ironically, Mr Webb and his wife had already booked a holiday prior to the quiz to celebrate his birthday, which was last Monday.
They booked four nights in Bognor.
To win the dream holiday Mr Webb had to gamble on one final question.
He was shown film of an Indian man rolling across India for his religious beliefs. The question was: What did he do before this stunt? Did he lay in a pit of poisonous snakes or stand completely still for seven years?
l Would you have won the holiday? Don't write or phone, it is just for fun. Answer next week.
