SHAPING eyebrows and polishing nails helped beauty salon staff raise more than £400 for a hospice.
Staff at Lulu Beauty Lounge decided to hold the fundraising day because some of them knew people who had been cared for at St Christopher’s Hospice, Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham.
All proceeds on the day at the salon in Chatterton Road, Bromley Common, have gone to the hospice as well as money raised from a raffle.
Manager Claire Little said: “Everyone knows someone who is affected by cancer [and] we got a lot of support.”
They have decided to hold a fundraiser for the hospice twice a year after this one raised £430.
