HIGHWAY STOPPING UP ORDER
LAND ADJACENT TO DARENTH COURT, KENNETT COURT, LODDEN COURT, QUILTER ROAD ORPINGTON AND STOUR COURT, RYE CRESCENT, ORPINGTON

THE MAYOR AND BURGESSES of the London Borough of Bromley (“the Council”), hereby give notice that they propose making an Order under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to authorise the stopping-up of areas of Highway at Land Adjacent to Darenth Court, Kennett Court, Lodden Court, Quilter Road Orpington and Stour Court, Rye Crescent, Orpington.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission to be granted to Broomleigh Housing Association c/o Karakusevic Carson Architects, 56 Kingsway Place, Sans Walk, London, EC1R 0LU on 19 January 2010 under Reference DC/09/02931

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER and relevant plan may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at the offices of the London Borough of Bromley, Main Enquiry Desk, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed Order within a period of 28 days commencing Wednesday 10 March 2010 by Notice to the Director of Legal Democratic and Customer Services, London Borough of Bromley, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH quoting reference L11.

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of such an objection may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE

Phased redevelopment comprising 111 two, three and four bedroom houses (107 terraced and 4 semi detached) 129 car parking spaces and formation of a new access road from Rye Crescent and Cuckmere Way.

The term “stopping-up” means that the area of the highway being land adjacent to Darenth Court, Kennett Court, Lodden Court, Quilter Road Orpington and Stour Court, Rye Crescent, Orpington would permanently cease to be public highway.
