NO FURTHER action will be taken against two men arrested over claims that evidence was hidden during the Stephen Lawrence murder inquiry.
A retired Metropolitan Police officer and a serving civilian police worker have been released from bail, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said.
The pair were held after detectives reviewing the case uncovered material they feared was not disclosed during the original investigation.
Black teenager Stephen was stabbed to death by a gang of white youths at a bus stop in Eltham on April 22, 1993.
Five men were arrested but no-one was convicted of his murder.
