A 35-YEAR-OLD man has been charged following a crash involving a sports car in Petts Wood last night (February 28).
The incident happened at the junction of Chislehurst Road and Orpington Road at around 11pm.
An Audi sports car crashed into width restrictions on a railway bridge, causing substantial damage to the wheels and chassis.
There were no reported injuries and the incident closed the road to northbound traffic for around an hour while the wreckage of the car was cleared away.
Robert Helal, of Kingsway, Petts Wood, has been charged with drink-driving and driving other than in accordance with a licence.
He has been bailed to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on March 16.
