A 26-YEAR-OLD is running to work every day for one month to raise money for charity after his mother was diagnosed with cancer.
Dave Ellis is jogging the nine mile round trip from his home in Dudsbury Road, Dartford to Bluewater.
The Nike store employee is very close to reaching his target of raising £600 for Cancer Research.
He decided to take up the challenge when his mother Yvonne was diagnosed with liver, lung and brain cancer in December.
Mr Ellis said: “People suggested doing a 10k run but I wanted to do something a bit more hardcore.
“It’s taking its toll on me now, I look a bit like Forrest Gump at the moment.
“I’ve got the beard and I think I’ve almost lost a stone.”
