MARCHING bands, life saving skills classes and climbing coconut trees were among the attractions at the launch of YOU Bromley.
The scheme aims to get children involved in positive activities across the borough run by uniformed youth organisations.
Groups involved in YOU Bromley include the Army Cadet Force, Met Police Volunteer Cadets, St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales’s) District and the Scout Association.
Bromley police's youth partnership sergeant, Sergeant Simone Oram, said: “It was fantastic to see all of the uniformed youth organisations together and it makes you realise just how many young people do something constructive with their spare time.
“Each of the organisations involved offer opportunities for young people in an ever expanding variety of areas such as sport, expeditions, education and friendship.”
