A HEALTHCARE worker will be walking along the Great Wall of China for charity.
Venu Rajagopal works for Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust at Memorial Hospital, Shooters Hill, which looks after the mental health of people in Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley.
The 57-year-old has been a foster carer for the past year and hopes to raise £2,850 for The Fostering Network charity.
Mr Rajagopal of Dartford, said: “Most of the children placed in our care have history of traumatic and vulnerable lifestyle and providing a safe and secure home makes all the difference for these children.”
The charity provides advice, information, guidance and support to foster families in difficult situations.
Mr Rajagopal will be joing a team of 30 to trek the Great Wall of China in October, which will last for 10 days.
