SUPERMARKET staff descended on a school to build an allotment area, a pond and a nature walk for the children.
Colleagues from Sainsbury’s spent a whole day at Horizons Primary School, Hilda May Avenue, Swanley to give pupils a greener environment to work and play in and use it as an opportunity for team building.
The 10 members of staff, who work in logistics and supplying supermarkets, built a pond to nurture animals and plants, an allotment area for the children to grow vegetables and a nature walk which the pupils will develop to attract wildlife.
Alison Pugsley, one of the supermarket’s team, said: “The day was about giving something back to the community.
“It’s a chance for the children to get involved in healthy eating and have an exciting outdoor area.”
