FRIENDS of a woman who died from a rare heart condition are holding a fundraiser in her memory.
Sarah Bennett from Barnehurst died in December aged 22, after a sudden heart attack while staying with her boyfriend in hull.
It was later discovered she suffered from Bland White Garland Syndrome, which remained undiagnosed from birth.
Now her friends are raising cash for the British Heart Foundation in her memory.
People are being asked to wear something red to their event which is taking place on Friday (26th) at the Blue Anchor pub in Bridgen Road, Bexley, from 7.30pm.
One of the organisers, Vicky Rowland, 27 from Bexley who works for a pharmaceutical company said: “Sarah was my best friend. She was like a sister to me.
“I was going to do a fundraiser at work, but Sarah had so many friends and was such fun, I approached the pub and it said it was willing to host the event.”
All the proceeds from the fun-packed red-themed evening will go to help research into heart disease.
Following her death Sarah’s family members all tested negative for the syndrome.
