AN eight-year-old girl has raised money for victims of the Haiti earthquake by walking for three hours in her pyjamas.
Sevjan Gazi has raised £257 for the disaster’s victims by braving freezing conditions in her nightwear on the walk from Hither Green to Lewisham and back again.
She took to the streets with mum Parveen, 36, and dad Huseyin, 45, wearing a sign saying “Please Help Haiti” and picking up contributions from people along the way.
Sevjan, who goes to Lee Manor Primary School in Leahurst Road, Lewisham, said: “When i saw how poor Haiti was I thought I should raise a lot more money for them.
“It was kind of freezing but I didn’t give up.”
Mrs Gazi, of Harvard Road, Hither Green, said: “By the end she was saying how tiring it was but she had to carry on.”
