The former Bricklayers Arms pub in Mayplace Road West, Bexleyheath, is to be turned into a restaurant.
The former pub was the first pub in Bexley to have its licence revoked after police asked Bexley Council’s licensing sub-committee to review its licence in 2007 following a series of rowdy incidents.
Although it got its licence back, the pub was sold by its former owners Enterprise Inns last summer and has been closed since the sale.
Bexley Council’s planning committee has approved plans to turn the building into a restaurant and takeaway with 13 car parking spaces on-site.
It will open from noon until 11pm Monday to Saturday and noon to 10.30pm on Sundays and public holidays.
Four nearby residents objected saying they feared people would congregate outside late at night.
