DARTFORD: Man accused of pushing woman onto train tracks standing trial
A 32-YEAR-OLD man accused of pushing a woman on to a railway line after she asked him to stop smoking is standing trial this week.
Ionel Rapisca, of Joyce Green Lane, Dartford, allegedly shoved 59-year-old Linda Buchanan on to the tracks at Farningham Road station at around 7am on August 6, 2008.
Horton Kirby resident Mrs Buchanan says she was attacked after telling two men to stop smoking on the platform.
She suffered a broken wrist and bruising to her legs.
Rapisca is on trial at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading not guilty to a charge of GBH with intent.
Police took no further action against an 18-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the incident.
