A DISTRESSED pigeon was rescued by firefighters after it got trapped in netting designed to prevent birds from nesting.
Firefighters were called to Thomas Cook in New Road, Gravesend after a pigeon got stuck in netting above the shop on Friday (Feb 19).
After around 20 minutes the pigeon was freed safely and it flew away.
And yesterday at around 5pm firefighters had to attend to another animal in distress, this time a Staffordshire Bull Terrier which had got stuck down a hole near Thamesway in Northfleet.
