A 20-YEAR-OLD man has denied murdering a traveller.
James Joe Saunders of Powerscroft Road, Sidcup, denied murdering father-of-two Moses Devall when he appeared at the Old Bailey on February 18.
The 36-year-old traveller was stabbed to death outside his home in Swallowtail Close, St Paul’s Cray, on October 31 last year.
James Joe Saunders has also been charged with causing GBH.
He also denied this charge on February 18, as did William Saunders, aged 22, and John Saunders, aged 29, both of Powerscroft Road, Sidcup.
Twenty-eight-year-old Charmaine Coates, also known as Laura Saunders, of College Road, Swanley, also denied a charge of causing GBH.
The assault charges relate to an incident alleged to have taken place in the Priory Tavern in Orpington High Street on October 30.
All four are due to stand trial on May 10.
Another man, 30-year-old Levi Coates, of College Road, Swanley, has also been charged with GBH but has yet to enter a plea.
