A MAN is due to appear in court this morning in connection with an attack on two security guards at Bexleyheath Job Centre.
Paul Renford, aged 44, from Gravesend, will appear in custody before Bexley magistrates, charged with one count of GBH with intent, two counts of causing actual bodily harm, one count of common assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
The two guards were on duty at the job centre in Bexleyheath Broadway yesterday morning when they were attacked by a man armed with a knuckleduster.
Both were taken to hospital.
One of them, a 40-year-old man, suffered a torn inner ear drum and a fractured jaw.
The other guard, aged 44, had a split lip.
