BROMLEY Council is appealing for stories of kind-hearted people giving up their time to help neighbours, family and friends.

The local authority wants to how people are celebrating Dignity in Care Action Day on February 25, whether it is being a good neighbour or helping someone else with their shopping, gardening or DIY.

The council is also asking health and social care professionals to tell it about the ways they are helping on the day.

There will be a prize for the best story or photo.

Executive councillor for adult and community services Graham Arthur said: “Celebrating Dignity in Care Day is about reminding all of us that dignity should be everybody’s business and should be at the heart of everything we do when people need our care and support.”

Anyone helping during Dignity in Care Action Day can call Bromley Council on 020 8313 4283.
