A YOUNGSTER fighting to raise enough money for a vital operation in America was on hand to draw the winning tickets during a supermarket raffle.
Libby Lee, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was a toddler, needs £45,000 so she can fly to America this summer and undergo surgery to help her walk.
The eight-year-old’s parents have launched the Walking to Happiness appeal to help raise funds and Tesco in Orpington let Libby pick the winners during its Valentine’s raffle.
The raffle made around £250 for the Libby Lee Trust.
Libby’s mum Toni said: “Libby got picked up in a limousine and was driven to Tesco. She was a little star for the day.
“She is very excited about the appeal and had so much fun at Tesco.”
The Lee family, who run the Greyhound pub in Commonside, Keston, have already raised £18,500.
The Walking to Happiness appeal is asking for donations of just £1, using sort code 30-96-31 and Lloyds account number 26377860.
