HSBC has appointed James Dodson as deputy head of corporate banking at its South East Corporate Banking Centre.

James joins the well established Corporate team this week, taking joint responsibility for a wide variety of HSBC customers with a turnover in excess of £25 million across Kent, Sussex and parts of Surrey.

James, who will report to the centre’s head of corporate banking, Chris Doyle, brings over 20 years of experience in banking to the position, spanning corporate banking and leveraged finance. He has extensive experience with structuring corporate transactions including leveraged debt, mergers and acquisitions, buyouts and refinancing. James also brings considerable international experience to the role, having previously worked as Head of the Far East Banking Centre for HSBC and coordinating HSBC’s Corporate and Structured Banking international strategy in the UK.
