A TEENAGE hairdresser has styled her way into the finals of a national competition.
Beth Stedman, 19, from Bellegrove Road, Welling has been styling hair at Collard and Woolston Hair Design in Welling for three years, after training with Skills for Growth organisation.
She is now completing her level 3 NVQ qualifications at Bexley College in Tower Road, Erith.
Miss Stedman took the top place in the regional Skills Challenge competition hosted at Bexley College last week when she was up against competition from 15 hairdressers from nine colleges.
Her task was to colour a model’s hair and produce a high fashion blow dry and then convert it into an evening style.
Miss Stedman will now compete in the finals of the competition at the festival of hair and beauty taking place next month at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
