A 36-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed after admitting possessing drugs with intent to supply.
Delton Davis, of Brangbourne Road, Downham, was sentenced to five years and six months at Woolwich Crown Court on February 10.
He was arrested on July 15 last year after Lewisham police officers stopped him in a car and found him carrying a large amount of cash.
They searched his flat and found a further £4,000 before searching another car linked to him where they seized more than 170g of crack cocaine and heroin.
Lewisham police's investigating officer, Detective Constable Nick Bale, said: “The drugs were found following the diligence of the initial officers who obtained further search warrants when they suspected the man because he had such a large amount of cash on him.
“Drugs with a street value of approximately £9,000 were found, and destroyed by the police.
"Lewisham police are committed to taking drugs off the streets and ensuring justice is dealt to those who commit drug offences.”
