Is it just me or is Misfits, the TV, sci-fi drama, which follows the story of five community workers whose powers have been enhanced after they experienced a peculiar storm, the most gripping series to grace our screens?

I was mortified when the last episode was screened, the dramatic finish suggested an end to so much - a key character, Nathan buried alive in a coffin, the purpose of my week and to a quality show, with no rumours of a new series to come. Yet hurrah! The gritty programme that intertwines reality with fantasy, maturity and sarcastic jokes whilst promoting the necessary team co-operation needed to resolve problems is returning.

The cast’s recent appearance on the Jonathan Ross show revealed a second series is to be filmed in the forth coming months. I was delighted to see the hilariously funny and quick witted Nathan (Robert Sheehan) is still in the cast suggesting he manages to find his way out of his sealed and buried coffin – but how could he do that? Indeed, with news of the next series it is this thorny issue that my friends and I have been debating at length.

Super powers, practicalities and human qualities have all been considered in the context of a reasonable storyline. Thought transference, super strength, conversion into micro body particles that can travel through solid matter, you name it we’ve discussed it but however Nathan escapes, guaranteed we will all be delighted he and the rest of the team are back!
