A SERVICE which supports young people in Bexley is looking for nominations for wards to recognise the achievements of the young.
The borough’s Integrated Youth Support Service (IYSS) holds its annual awards celebration next month which will recognise the good work done by children aged 11 to 19.
It is looking for nominations in nine categories.
They are: bravery, personal achievment in the arts, good friends and young carers, service to the community, group or team award, personal achievement in music, personal development and personal achievement in sport or an outdoor activity.
There will also be a special category nominated by Bexley’s mayor.
Cabinet member for youth services Councillor Simon Windle said: “The majority of young people are hard working, conscientious and extremely focused.
“It is only right we recognise their achievements wherever we can.
“I would urge anyone who knows a likely candidate to get in touch with the team or download the form and make a nomination."
The closing date is February 19th.
To make a nomination, call Mick Cahill on 07970 023226 or email mick.cahill@bexley.gov.uk or download a form from bexley.gov.uk
