CRACK cocaine, heroin and cannabis have been taken off the streets in a series of raids across Bromley.
Thirty-nine rocks of suspected crack cocaine were found hidden in a 20-year-old man’s anus when he was searched at Bromley police station.
The search came after he was arrested in Ash Grove, Penge, on February 9 after being found to have cash and drugs – believed to be crack cocaine – on him.
Officers found more drugs and drug related paraphernalia during a search at his home.
The suspect has been bailed to return to the police station on April 7 pending further enquiries.
On the same day borough support unit officers found a large quantity of drugs in a Skoda Octavia in Main Road, Biggin Hill.
They also found a large bundle of cash during the search which took place near the airport industrial estate.
A 63-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs and money laundering.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court last Thursday (February 11) and has been bailed until May 10.
A carrier bag full of around £8,000 cash and a substance believed to be crack cocaine was found during a raid on a house in Crystal Palace Park Road, Crystal Palace.
Officers from the ward’s safer neighbourhood team made the discovery after being called by Stoneham Housing Association to remove some men who were believed to be living at the address illegally.
Four men, aged 28, 22 and two aged 21, were arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and money laundering.
They have been bailed until March 31 pending further inquiries.
