IT was off to the seaside for a group of Crayford Brownies and their leaders as they set out to celebrate Guiding’s 100th birthday this year.
Seven Brownies, aged between seven and 10, from the 5th Crayford Brownie Pack joined 4,000 other girls from across London and the south east at Butlins in Bognor Regis for a weekend of fun.
The girls tried to pack in as many activities as they could including circus skills, go-karting, line dancing, climbing, swimming and walking along the seafront.
Brownie Guider Sue Upton said: “The centenary year is a chance for all members to celebrate guiding and take the opportunity to have a special moment they can remember for years to come.
“Funtenary was a great way for us to give the Brownies their very own centenary experience.”
