FOUR girl guides have received an achievement award after being nominated by their friends and leaders.
The guides were presented with a Jack Petchey Achievement Award at a ceremony held at the Greenwich Theatre in Crooms Hill, Greenwich.
Jessica Trimmings, aged 14, from 2nd Abbey Wood Guides, and 12-year-old Rianne Morgan from 1st Hither Green Guides received awards.
Georgia Quarry, aged 11, from 3rd Lee North Guides, and 17-year-old Lily Rose Fitzgerald from 6th Royal Eltham West Guides were also awarded.
Each winner received a medal, framed certificate and a £200 cheque for their division.
Mayor of Greenwich Councillor Allan MacCarthy said: “So many young women showed what they have achieved so far and what they can in the future. Well done them and well done to everyone involved in the Girl Guiding.”
The Jack Petchey Foundation provides grants to programmes and projects which benefit young people aged 11 to 25.
