A PAIR of theatre directors are appealing for Second World War firefighters to help make a new stage production.
Lewis Barfoot, aged 32, and 30-year-old Hannah Hannah Kimpton from Lewisham run the Three Beyond The Sea theatre company and are working on a show for central London's New Players Theatre.
Up The Café de Paris follows the journey of women living during the Blitz in London.
Ms Barfoot said: "We are looking to find some real Lewisham people who worked on fire watch during the Second World War and to find women who's lives were transformed by their experience of the war.
"Then to hold an interview, with them discussing their experience of World War Two and seeing if we can incorporate their stories into our piece."
