THE AREA ACTION PLAN FOR BROMLEY TOWN CENTRE
NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT OF EXAMINATION
On 30 March 2010
In Accordance with Regulation 34

The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 as Amended by the Town & Country Planning (Local Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2008

(a) The title
Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan – Notice of Commencement of Examination

(b) The notice The London Borough of Bromley hereby give notice that the independent examination into the Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan will formally open on Tuesday 30th March 2010 at 10am. The Secretary of State has appointed Mr Eric Searle DipTP FRTPI FBEng MCMI of the Planning Inspectorate to conduct the examination.

(c) The subject matter.
The Area Action Plan is a Development Plan Document (DPD) setting out the development opportunities for Bromley Town Centre over the next 15 years. It includes major redevelopment opportunities, major traffic and transport infrastructure changes and lays down the planning framework for significant change and conservation, including detailed development control policies.

The examination will be held in Committee Room 2 and commence from Tuesday 30th March 2010 at the Council’s offices, The Civic Centre, Bromley, BR1 3UH. Morning sessions will start at 10am and afternoon sessions will start at 2pm. Anyone with an interest in observing the examination should notify the programme officer in advance of the opening of the examination detailing which session they are attending.
