THE lives of working women in Bexley and Greenwich will come under the spotlight when they are invited to talk about their experiences.
As part of a project to record people’s experiences of work in the Thames Gateway, women who worked before, during or after the Second World War are being asked to share their memories.
Eastside Community Heritage, which is running the project, is inviting women to share their experiences and talk about their working lives, at the Greenwich Heritage Centre in Artillery Square at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, on February 24 between 10.30am and noon.
Among the things researchers want to hear about is how work and attitudes to women working changed after the war, how women balanced work and family life and how much they were paid.
If you would like to take part, just turn up on the day.
