YOUNGSTERS have helped to raise cash for disaster-struck Haiti.
The pupils have raised a total of £236.61 by holding a cake sale, having a general whip-round and one young boy being sponsored for wearing a mohican at school for the day.
During the cake sale pupils from St George's Bickley CE Primary School in Tylney Road, Bickley, sold various recipes including rice crispy cakes, fairy cakes and chocolate cakes.
Headteacher Valerie Carrier said: “The children wanted to do something and as a school we always encourage fundraising.”
A devastating earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck Haiti on January 12, causing devastation and killing thousands of people.
The Disasters Emergency Committee has launched the Haiti Earthquake Appeal which has so far raised £70m.
