ELECTIONEERING has started early with the Tories hosting stalls for candidates to meet shoppers.
Bob Stewart met around 500 people when he visited Beckenham High Street.
The visit was the first meet and greet session for the Conservative Party’s candidate for the Beckenham constituency at the next general election.
He will be in Hayes, near Hayes Station, on February 20 and in West Wickham on March 13.
All the stalls have been organised by the Beckenham Conservative Association (BCA).
BCA chairman Tony Power said: “We were very well received [in Beckenham].
“They were very concerned about the economy, Afghanistan and immigration.
“Most of it was a friendly exchange involving Bob himself with people who were pleased to meet the candidate.”
