IMPRESSIONIST Bobby Davro's swimming trunks and presenter Fearne Cotton's used kitchen scourer were two items put under the hammer at a celebrity auction.

The celebrities were joined by comic Frank Carson and Olympic silver medallist Roger Black to raise £2,068 for charity by selling their personal effects.

The auction took place at Greenwich Auctions Partnership, in Old Woolwich Road, Greenwich, on Saturday and was part of the BBC television series Star Sales, to be broadcast on BBC1, in June.

The event follows two previous celebrity auctions.

Bobby Davro's swimsuit went for £50, Fearne Cotton's boots signed by pop group Travis went for £110, a signed athletics vest worn by Roger Black when he won a bronze medal during the 4x400m relay at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 went for £360 and a first edition Harry Potter book from Frank Carson went for £250.

The event was attended by 150 people with cash going to Macmillan Cancer Relief, the charity of choice of Fearne Cotton.
