Glimpses by Mervyn Taylor was an unusual presentation covering various aspects of Mervyn’s work. Mainly in monochrome but frequently had coloured to enhance certain aspects of the picture.
The evening started with close upsof insects caterpillars made particularly good subjects when enlarged.
Another interesting subject was photographing derelict houses in Ireland. It was strange to see pots, vases etc left behind and not touched for 50 years.
Mervyn stressed that it was important not to move these objects as it would destroy the effect.
Ruba also provided many interesting shots particularly portraits of local people.
Meetings are now held on Wednesday at St Johns Church Hall, Eden Park Avenue and new members are always welcome. For further details please contact Peter Bidwell on 020 8462 7306.
