IT was only a matter of time before the Church of England jumped onto the internet bandwagon.
The Church is advertising for a web pastor to run its first virtual parish.
The aim of the i-church is to cater for people who are not able or willing to join a congregation.
The web pastor will be responsible for overseeing a new internet parish community and being available to visitors of the site.
The i-church is being created by the Diocese of Oxford and the web pastor will answer to the Bishop of Oxford.
A basic website is already up and running and can be visited at www.i-church.org
