A HOSPITAL trust has failed to improve its performance since its last inspection, according to a health watchdog.
Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust was given a financial rating of weak and an overall quality rating of fair in the latest Care Quality Commission report - the same ratings as last year.
The trust was merged with Queen Mary’s NHS Trust in Sidcup and Woolwich’s Queen Elizabeth NHS Trust in April to create the South London Healthcare NHS Trust.
Its chief executive Chris Streather said: “We are working very hard as a new trust to make ourselves more efficient and improve the quality of our patient care.
“There has been a marked improvement since April in waiting times, our survival rates are better, while infection rates for MRSA and C-Difficile are falling.”
Bromley Primary Care Trust (PCT) was given a financial rating of good and an overall quality rating of fair in the same report.
Last year, the trust’s financial rating was excellent and a trust spokesman explained: “No PCT in the country was rated as excellent for financial management this year and Bromley PCT joins nine of London’s 31 PCTs in the good category.”
