ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: The National Maritime Museum is to hold a Snowy look-a-like competition at a preview of its The Adventures of Tintin at Sea exhibition. The public can bring their white terriers to the front lawn of the museum, in Greenwich, to pose with a Tintin look-a-like at 11am on March 29. The winner will receive Tintin goodies. The exhibition runs from March 31 to September 5.
CLEAN-UP: Communications company NTL has reached an agreement to regularly clear its roadside boxes of graffiti and posters in Greenwich. Call Cleansweep on 020 8921 4661 with reports of graffiti and fly-posting on the boxes. Greenwich Council will then pass on the details to NTL.
REMEMBRANCE SERVICE: A remembrance service for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby or child will be held in the prayer room at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Stadium Road, Woolwich, at 2pm on March 24. For further information, call 020 8836 6831.
ADVICE ON DYSLEXIA: Parents worried about whether their child has dyslexia can find out more from specialist teachers at an information meeting. The event will be held at Woolwich Town Hall, in Wellington Street, Woolwich, from 10am to noon on March 16.
QUESTION COUNCILLORS: Residents from Greenwich west, the Peninsula, Blackheath and Westcombe can put their questions to councillors at a Time to Listen meeting being held at The John Roan, in Maze Hill, Blackheath, from 7pm on March 17.
