A 23-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with manslaughter.
Charles Campbell, aged 64, from Bexleyheath, died in hospital on Monday (Sept 28).
He had been found with serious head injuries in Bexley Road, Erith, on Sunday.
Billy Williams, of Luddesdon Road, Erith, appeared at Bexley Magistrates' Court today charged with manslaughter.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on January 6.
A post-mortem examination yesterday gave the cause of Mr Campbell’s death as an injury to the brain.
Another man, aged 39, has been bailed to return to a police station on October 14 pending further inquiries.
A 16-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl were also arrested but have since been released with no further action.
