IT WAS a beautiful summer’s afternoon when members gathered for their annual garden meeting.

A member kindly opened her house and garden for this popular event and as everyone sought the shade they had the opportunity to share news and sample a selection of tasty home-made cakes while they relaxed and admired the lovely garden.

The West Kent WI quiz event took place in Sevenoaks at the end of July.

Six of our members, who had previously succeeded in an earlier knockout round, represented the District WIs.

Very challenging questions were set and although the team was not successful on this occasion it was nevertheless a very enjoyable evening with teams from 21 WIs within the West Kent area taking part.

Another group of members met for an enjoyable and friendly game of ten pin bowling.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 2pm in Farnborough Village Hall. Visitors and new members warmly welcomed.
