PEOPLE entitled to compensation from electricity company EDF Energy can get help to make their claim at two more events in the coming week.
Bexley Council is drafting in staff to Have A Say and play events organised by the council, to assist anyone who may be having difficulty requesting the payment.
EDF Energy has offered a £50 “goodwill” payment to anyone who was continuously without power for at least 24 hours during the three-day powercut in July, but people have to apply for it.
Help will include a standard letter which people can just sign and send to the energy company to claim their cash.
To get help, people can go to Orchard House in Northend Road, Erith on Friday (4th) between 11am and 1pm or Welling library in Bellegrove Road, Welling, on Tuesday (8th) between 4pm and 6pm.
Meanwhile Kent police are continuing their hunt for the intruders who broke into the cable bridge across Dartford Creek, and damaged its four power cables which supply nearly 100,000 homes in Bexley, Dartford and Orpington.
