ON AUGUST 3, Southfleet WI enjoyed a superb harp and cream tea afternoon.
Margaret Watson entertained us with a wonderful selection of classical, folk, showstoppers and jazz pieces not usually associated with the harp.
After a scrumptious cream tea, all WI members sang Jerusalem accompanied by the harp - a WI first!
At our August meeting Pauline Atherton gave us the history of various nursery rhymes and then, depicting each rhyme, produced six stunning flower arrangements.
Her comments were very humorous and she generously donated all the flowers to our raffle. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
On September 14, speaker Eamon Cullen will be talking about "astrology working for you".
We meet on the second Monday of each month at Southfleet Village Hall, Dale Road, Southfleet, and visitors and new members are always welcome.
