THERE was a treat in store for members of Bexleyheath and Crayford Conservative Association when Shadow Foreign Secretary and renowned after-dinner speaker, William Hague was the guest at a reception in Bexleyheath.
More than 200 members enjoyed a buffet supper at the Boys’ Brigade hall in Bexleyheath Broadway followed by an amusing and informative after-dinner speech by the former party leader, Mr Hague.
He spoke about the economy, Europe and foreign affairs but touched on a host of other issues during a question and answer session.
Among the other guests at the event were Bexleyheath and Crayford MP David Evennett and Bexley Council leader, Councillor Teresa O’Neill.
