A FORMER Big Brother contestant was a surprise visitor to a Bexleyheath bank to give her support to a good cause.
Kathreya Kasisopa, who lives locally, dropped in at Barclays’ Broadway branch as it gave its support to the Samaritans’ 24:7 day.
The bank invited people in for cakes, coffee, tea and scones to help raise funds and awareness of the Samaritans, the charity which offers support and advice to the emotionally distressed.
The branch was filled with balloons, T-shirts, posters and awareness leaflets for the Samaritans’ fundraising and awareness day, which stresses the availability of the charity’s volunteers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In return for refreshments or other goodies, customers were invited to make a donation to the Samaritans, with Barclays pledging to match the total raised.
