AN INSIGHT into the history of two areas in Bexley will be revealed at a pair of events being held at libraries.
Long-time residents of Slade Green will be meeting at Slade Green Library in the Howbury Centre, Slade Green Road, at 2.30pm tomorrow to talk about life in Cabbage Island, as the original residential area was known.
The Crayford Town Archive and Bexley Local Studies and Archive Centre will be providing old photographs and materials.
Anyone can turn up and join in.
Meanwhile, at Sidcup Library in Hadlow Road today at 2pm, local historian and resident Dr John Mercer will be revealing the town’s hidden history and the events, personalities and changes which have shaped today’s Sidcup.
His audience will also be invited to reminisce about their Sidcup memories.
The Sidcup event is ticket only.
