SURVIVAL specialist and adventurer Bear Grylls was an end-of-term guest at Bexley College to talk to students about his exploits.
He spent time chatting with students and staff at the college in Tower Road, Erith, before explaining in detail the reality of surviving on mountains, dealing with extreme weather and losing climbing companions through exposure or exhaustion.
His visit was the highlight of College Annual Progression Day when new students mixed with existing ones, took part in lesson tasters, a free barbecue and a disco with MCs from the Ministry of Sound.
Students were also treated to stand-up comedy from Jo Brand, who performed for them the previous evening at Erith Playhouse and chatted with them afterwards.
