STARS of music and film have visited an area aiming to inspire talented young people.
The all-day event at the Moonshot Centre, Fordham Park, New Cross, included music, drama, performing arts and sports seminars.
There were appearances and masterclasses by garage duo The Wideboys, 1Xtra’s Uche Uchendu, Feargal Sharkey and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star Frank Harper.
Mr Harper said: “I had the advantage of working with professionals when I was younger and it made a huge difference to my career.
“If I can pass on some of the knowledge that I have learnt over the years, hopefully it can help young people at the start of their careers.”
The event, called Inspiration, was organised by Deptford youth charity The Midi Music Company.
