NINE roads are to be resurfaced during the school summer holidays.
Phase one of a new programme of works has been finalised and will take place during the school break to ensure minimum disruption to Lewisham residents.
Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock, said: “The maintenance of roads is very important for the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
"The planned programme of works will be carried out at a time that is intended to create least disruption. It’s part of Lewisham’s commitment to maintain the local environment.”
These roads will be resurfaced:
Eastern Road - commencing August 17
Champion Road - commencing August 18
Athelney Street - commencing August 21
Broadmead - commencing August 26
Elfida Crescent - commencing September 1
Grangemill Road - commencing September 3
Benson Road - commencing September 7
Devonshire Road - commencing September 9
Kangley Bridge Road - commencing September 14 (resurfaced at night)
